yBook2 is a free e-book reader specifically designed to make you feel like you are reading a real paper book on your computer screen. All the features it includes have been devised with this main objective in mind - its various background paper-like textures, the two-page layout, and its page turning effect. However, being an electronic reader, you are also given some interesting features that can only be found in the digital environment.
Among these features, you are given the possibility of customizing the way the text will be presented on your screen - this includes the thickness of the page borders, the line spacing, and the color, type, and size of the font. As you cannot use your thumb to flick through the book's pages, you are also given a Page Navigator - a simple little window where you can type in the page number you wish to go to. The background textures provided are limited to four, each trying to reproduce the look and feel of different paper textures using different color tones and soft sandy textures.
You can open and enjoy a variety of books using yBook2 - HTML, RTF, and TXT files are the main text formats supported, though PDB and PRC files (Palm native text formats) can also be read with this tool.
